Zed MCP setup
MCP hostZed is an MCP host for its native Agent. Servers can be installed as Zed extensions or added as local commands and remote URLs from Settings → AI → MCP Servers. Remote servers without an Authorization header can use the standard MCP OAuth flow.
Not for: Full coverage of every MCP feature. Zed currently documents Tools and Prompts support; discovery, sampling and elicitation are not listed as supported.

>Questions
Is Zed MCP setup an MCP App with inline UI?
No inline MCP App UI is claimed here. It is listed as a server or host because the verified source documents MCP tools or client support, not a ui:// app resource.
Where were these details checked?
Against the maintainer's README, source, or official documentation at https://zed.dev/docs/ai/mcp, plus the GitHub API where a repository is available.
